Let’s Connect

Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) is a set of practical tools to deal with the problems that arise between us and within our communities. These gentle lessons and practices can help us connect more kindly to ourselves and to those around us.

Mindful Self-Compassion is…

  • six weekly sessions of 1:15 each

  • short lessons on research-driven wisdom

  • in-class meditations and small group discussion,

  • and home strategies to counteract the negative messages we receive from our society, our acquaintances, and ourselves.

Who is welcome…

MSC is designed for members of the general public. Meditation experience is not necessary to participate in MSC.  All are welcome! The program is based on the values of equity, diversity and inclusiveness. Together, we will build new habits of supportive language, gestures, and actions to support ourselves, our families, and our communities.

What it costs...:

This course is offered to the community as a pay-what-you-can event. Recommended donation is $300, with a minimum request of $20/week. All are encouraged to pay at the highest affordable level to allow for those experiencing financial hardship to join us. None will be turned away for lack of funds.

Mindful Self-Compassion Online Group

Hello, New Year! Mindful Self-Compassion offers practical tools to support ourselves and those around us.

This MSC course includes insights into our instinctive healing, in-class practice of simple strategies and meditations, group discussion, and tools to continue your growth at home.

MSC is designed for members of the general public. Meditation experience is not necessary.  All are welcome! The program is based on the values of equity, diversity and inclusiveness.

We'll meet twice a month on Sundays, 4-6pm PST.

  • We'll spend time in guided meditations.

  • We'll embrace on-the-spot practices you can use anywhere, anytime.

  • We'll grow our understanding empathy and compassion.

  • We'll get support from each other as we try treating ourselves more kindly.

The course will encompass 9 sessions total: January 24, February 7, February 21, March 7, March 21, April 4, and April 18, May 2 and May 16.

Recommended donation: $600. (Pay by January 20, and receive a discount of 15%.) All are encouraged to pay at the highest affordable level to allow for those experiencing financial hardship to join us.

Our brains are designed to protect us by focusing on flaws and failures. Yet these habits often keep us stuck in immobility, disappointment, or repetition. Mindful Self-Compassion offers practical tools to balance out our instinctive negativity bias in order to motivate ourselves with kindness and authenticity. Motivating with kindness can liberate us from unproductive patterns.

This introductory course in Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) takes place once a week over 6 weeks. Each weekly session is one hour, 15 minutes (1:15). Maximum group size: 12.

This MSC course includes short lessons, in-class practice of strategies and meditations, group discussion, and home practices.

MSC is designed for everyone. Meditation experience is not necessary. The program is based on the values of equity, diversity and inclusiveness.

Six Wednesdays from 8:15-9:30pm PST: September 30, October 7, October 14, October 21, October 28, and November 4.
